The BRS working president, KT Rama Rao, urged party leaders to expose the Congress party’s anti-farmer stance and their request to stop the Rythu Bandhu benefit. He had a teleconference with party leaders and instructed them to hold protests in every constituency center, mandal headquarters, and village against the Congress party. They were asked to burn effigies of Congress leaders and organize different protest programs. The party’s ministers, MLA candidates, and senior representatives should also hold press conferences to expose the Congress party.
Rama Rao accused the Congress of harassing farmers by filing complaints with the Election Commission and trying to disrupt ongoing programs. He pointed out that farmers had already received investment assistance 11 times based on crop seasons, but the Congress was trying to halt this assistance by invoking the election code. He questioned whether the Congress wanted to stop 24-hour power supply and drinking water distribution in the name of the election code. He also raised concerns about altering K Chandrashekar Rao’s involvement in welfare schemes.
Rama Rao accused the Congress of consistently being anti-farmer and emphasized that the farmers of Telangana would not tolerate their conspiracies. He warned that people would reject the Congress’s attempts to interfere with the Rythu Bandhu program, citing the suffering of farmers in Karnataka after voting for Congress. He added that the Congress planned to limit power supply to just three hours despite sufficient supply.
