BRS MLA KP Vivekanand made some serious allegations on Thursday. He claimed that the “Fourth City” is just an idea on paper and that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is using these proposals to benefit the real estate business. According to the MLA, Revanth Reddy is acting more like a real estate agent than a leader.
Vivekanand also highlighted the achievements of the BRS government. He mentioned that the BRS completed a 60 km metro rail project and gifted it to the people of Hyderabad. He further stated that Chief Minister KCR had decided to extend the metro rail from Rayadurgam to Shamshabad. The BRS had planned this project with a budget of Rs 24,000 crore, but the Congress government allocated only Rs 11,000 crore for it.
The MLA continued to criticize the Congress government, saying that their “Fourth City” plan is nothing more than a concept on paper. He accused Revanth Reddy of making false promises about extending metro rail to the so-called Fourth City. He also pointed out that the Congress government canceled the metro rail proposal that the previous BRS government had made, which was intended to serve the northern part of Hyderabad based on public demand.
