Former MP and BJP leader Konda Vishweshwar Reddy stated that the GDP has increased to eight per cent in the last three months, thanks to the efforts and initiatives of the Centre led by PM Modi. He emphasized that welfare schemes should benefit people without resorting to freebies, sops, or caste-based schemes aimed at deceiving the public.
Reddy compared the current government favorably to the previous one, noting a decrease in abusive language and expletives in the Assembly. He criticized the previous government for leaving the state with no funds to implement important schemes like ‘Rythu Bandhu’. Despite not being in power, the Centre allocated Rs 9 lakh crore to Telangana, showcasing the potential benefits of having more MPs representing the state.
Highlighting PM Modi’s commitment to Telangana’s development, Reddy pointed out that Modi had set aside political differences to support the state. In contrast, he criticized former CM KCR for leaving behind a significant debt burden. Reddy suggested that having more BJP MPs from Telangana could result in even larger contributions from the Centre.
Reddy accused the Congress of spreading misinformation by linking the BJP with the BRS party. He criticized the Congress for focusing on minor issues like Medigadda while ignoring larger problems like Kaleshwaram. Reddy expressed confidence in winning the Chevella LS seat and pledged to prioritize development in his constituency.
