Minister Komatireddy Emphasises Farmers' Welfare at Devarakonda Event
Minister for Roads, Buildings, and Cinematography, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, has called for Agricultural Market Committees to prioritize the welfare of farmers. Speaking at a ceremony in Devarakonda, Nalgonda district, he highlighted the important role these committees play as a bridge between farmers and the government.
On Monday, Komatireddy attended the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected Agricultural Market Committee in Devarakonda as the chief guest. He urged the committee members to work with a focus on supporting farmers and enhancing their livelihood.
The minister also spoke about the government’s efforts to help farmers. He mentioned that the current administration is highly supportive of farmers and aims to provide irrigation water to various areas in Nalgonda district, including Devarakonda. Additionally, he promised to improve infrastructure by building double roads for all villages in the region.
Komatireddy further noted that since 2005, the government has been working hard to supply irrigation water to several constituencies, including Devarakonda, Munugode, Nakrekal, and Nagarjuna Sagar, through the SLBC tunnel project.
