Minister for R&B Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said that the Congress-led INDIA bloc is expected to win in South India and gain majority seats in North India during the upcoming parliament elections. He believes that they will form the people’s government by the first week of June. Speaking at a press conference in Nalgonda, he criticized Modi for his policies that he believes are against the people and in favor of big corporations like Ambani and Adani. Reddy pointed out that the cost of living has increased due to rising fuel and gas prices, putting a burden on ordinary citizens.
He accused the BJP of destroying communal harmony and dividing society along religious lines over the past decade. Reddy questioned Modi’s unfulfilled promises, such as depositing Rs 15 lakh in the accounts of the poor and creating 2 crore jobs annually for youth. He warned that if Modi were to become Prime Minister for a third time, the poor would struggle to afford even one meal a day. Reddy also alleged that the BJP government has exploited the country through policies like GST.
Reddy claimed that the BRS party has already failed, and their candidates will lose their deposits in both Nalgonda and Bhongir MP seats. He called on people to support the Congress MP candidate for Nalgonda, Raghuveer Reddy, to defeat the BJP. Reddy promised that the government would support farmers by purchasing certain types of grain at higher prices and acquiring wet grain at a set price throughout the state. He mentioned plans to deposit financial aid for farmers but was forced to halt it due to complaints from the BJP and BRS to the Election Commission. Reddy reassured farmers that the promise of waiving Rs 2 lakh in crop loans would be fulfilled by August 15 and pledged special funding for the development of Muslim minorities.
During the press conference, Congress Town president Gummula Mohan Reddy, Municipal Chairman Burri Srinivas Reddy, vice-chairman Abbagoini Ramesh Goud, ZPTC Vanguri Laxmaiah, Councilor Basheer, and others were also present.
