Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured Telangana BJP leaders of the Centre’s dedication to the welfare and development of the state. He encouraged party members to work hard, highlighting that the BJP has significant potential in Telangana.
During a state-level workshop on party organisation elections held in Hyderabad on Saturday, Union Minister and Telangana BJP Chief G Kishan Reddy urged leaders to strengthen the party from the polling booth to the state level. He suggested that party members gather data on promises made by the Congress party in their districts and assembly segments to prepare a charge sheet.
Kishan Reddy announced that the BJP will launch people’s movements to expose the Congress party’s failures in fulfilling its electoral promises. He criticized Congress for adopting the same policies as former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, accusing both of corruption and authoritarian governance. According to him, people voted for Congress to escape KCR’s rule, but the new government has also disappointed farmers, women, students, the unemployed, and other groups.
To address these issues and unfulfilled promises, the BJP plans to mobilize people and focus on strengthening its presence at the grassroots level. Kishan Reddy urged party members to actively engage in organisational elections to prepare for the upcoming local body polls.
He also reminded party members of the declining support for the BRS in the last parliamentary elections, noting that the people of Telangana are now looking to the BJP as a strong alternative. He encouraged the party ranks to work towards this goal with determination.
BJP national vice-president DK Aruna called on party leaders to intensify their efforts in the ongoing membership drive, which will continue until December 10. She urged leaders to draw inspiration from the BJP’s successes in Maharashtra and focus on building the party from the grassroots level to ensure a strong showing in the upcoming elections.
