Hyderabad: Union Minister and Telangana BJP chief, G Kishan Reddy, has called for the strengthening of the party’s rural, mandal, and district committees. Speaking at the BJP Organisational Election Campaign 2024 state-level workshop on Thursday, he urged the party to hold the government accountable for its unfulfilled promises and to organise movements for the welfare of the people.
Reddy also stressed the importance of standing by citizens on key issues such as agriculture, unemployment, the underprivileged, education, women’s rights, and poverty alleviation. He pointed out that these are areas where the party needs to focus to help improve the lives of the people.
On the issue of paddy procurement, Reddy said that while the Central government is ready to buy every grain, the State government is allegedly colluding with middlemen, millers, and brokers. He argued that this is causing great harm to farmers and is unjust.
He also criticised Congress-ruled states, claiming that they are unable to pay salaries and have accumulated large debts. According to Reddy, these states came to power with empty promises but have failed to deliver. He described the situation in Telangana as dire, likening it to “a fall from the oven to the pan.” He called on BJP members to prepare for struggles and movements against the government’s policies.
Reddy emphasized the need to strengthen the party’s structure, starting from the village level. He noted that the BJP is the largest party in the world in terms of membership. He also mentioned that the BJP holds organisational elections every three years at the village level, and that membership registration is done every ten years. He proudly shared that the party has already collected 3.1 million memberships in Telangana and urged members to meet their targets by the 15th of the month.
Dr. K Laxman, MP and BJP OBC Morcha National President, presided over the workshop and outlined the party’s strategic plan for the upcoming elections. He encouraged party workers to work hard to strengthen the party’s vision and reach every corner of the state.
Other senior BJP leaders, including Telangana General Secretary Chandrashekar, MP D K Aruna, and MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, also addressed the workshop. They discussed the party’s roadmap and urged workers to stay committed to the party’s goals.
