    Union Minister Invites Global Investors to India’s Mining Industry

    Hyderabad: Union Minister of Coal and Mines, G Kishan Reddy, has called on global investors to explore the vast opportunities in India’s mining industry. He emphasized that the sector has immense potential for value addition.

    Kishan Reddy participated in the Ministerial round table at the Future Minerals Forum-2025 held in Riyadh on Tuesday. The event, hosted by Saudi Arabia, focused on critical topics such as building supply chains for essential minerals, value creation, and other related opportunities. During his address, Reddy stressed the importance India places on ensuring the availability of critical minerals. These minerals are vital for expanding clean energy systems to achieve the country’s renewable energy goals.

    The Minister highlighted that value addition across the entire supply chain is crucial for improving prosperity and economic growth.

    On the sidelines of the forum, Kishan Reddy met with Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar bin Ibrahim Alkhorayef. The two leaders discussed ways to strengthen trade and investment ties between their countries. Additionally, Reddy held separate meetings with ministers from Brazil, Italy, and Morocco. He emphasized the importance of economic and technical collaboration, particularly in the minerals sector. Later, he also interacted with members of the Indian diaspora.

    The following day, Reddy attended the inaugural function of the Future Minerals Forum at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Centre. He visited the India Pavilion, which was organized by the Ministry of Mines along with Coal India, GSI, NMDC, NALCO, and MECL. The conference also featured exhibitions by partner nations and global companies, showcasing advancements in the mining and minerals industry.
