Hyderabad: State party leaders and cadre welcomed Union Minister for Culture and Tourism G Kishan Reddy, the newly appointed Telangana BJP chief, at Shamshabad Airport on Wednesday. Reddy was received by Election Management Committee chairman Eatala Rajender, general secretary G Premender Reddy, and other leaders.
In a press conference in Delhi, Reddy mentioned that he has always fulfilled the responsibilities given to him as a dedicated party worker. He explained that after becoming an MP for the first time, he was given the role of Union Minister of State for Home for two years, followed by Minister for Culture and Tourism.
Reddy emphasized that he has never asked or sought to become a minister in the party. He stated that the party recognized his work and entrusted him with responsibilities, which he fulfilled diligently. He expressed his commitment to the party and its ideology, and his determination to work towards bringing BJP to power in Telangana with the support of national and state leadership.
Reddy discussed the party’s plan to come to power in the state through systematic and planned activities. Upon arriving in Hyderabad, he announced his intention to meet important state leaders to discuss Modi’s upcoming ‘Vijaya Sankalpa Sabha’ in Warangal on July 8. He also highlighted the inauguration of a railway manufacturing unit in Kazipet by the Prime Minister, which will create job opportunities and boost ancillary industries.
When asked about his appointment in relation to an understanding between BRS-BJP, Reddy responded by saying that the party’s stance towards the ruling party in the state will become evident in the coming days.
