    Union Minister and Telangana BJP chief G Kishan Reddy praised expatriate Indians for their inspiration and desire to see India develop. Speaking at an event organized by the Indian Consulate in New York, Reddy highlighted the crucial role played by Indian youth and Indians abroad in India’s success as the world’s pharmaceutical capital.

    Reddy expressed his admiration for the love and respect shown by expatriates to their native land, even though they have left the country for their professional careers. He referred to them as ambassadors who protect India’s honor and strengthen its reputation.

    He also credited the policies adopted by the Modi government for India’s steady development, even in the face of global recession and the COVID-19 pandemic. Reddy listed India’s economic achievements, including becoming the fifth-largest economy, receiving $3 billion in foreign investment annually, and reaching foreign exchange reserves of $600 billion by May 2023.

    Reddy highlighted the success of initiatives such as “Make in India” and “Atmanirbhar Bharat,” which led to the export of mobile phones and the growth of India’s services sector. He emphasized the importance of India’s tourism sector and encouraged expatriate Indians to promote tourism and investment in the country among their non-Indian friends.

    The event was attended by Indian Consul-General in New York Randhir Jaiswal, Deputy Consul Dr. Varun Jeff, Indian Tourism DG Manisha, and a large number of expatriates.
