BJP State unit President and Union Minister for Culture and Tourism, Kishan Reddy, attended a ‘Ravana Dahan’ ceremony in the city. The ceremony took place in Amberpet where an effigy of Ravana was burned.
During the event, Kishan Reddy spoke to reporters and explained that the burning of Ravana’s effigy is a tradition observed across the country during Vijaya Dashami. This ceremony symbolizes the victory of good over evil, as Lord Rama defeated Ravana to establish Ramrajya. Kishan Reddy extended his wishes to all Hindu brothers and sisters, as well as people around the world, on this special occasion. He mentioned that people from all walks of life, regardless of their wealth, celebrate this festival with great enthusiasm.
