Hyderabad: Union Minister for Culture and Tourism G Kishan Reddy received a warm welcome from state party leaders and cadre upon his arrival at Shamshabad Airport on Wednesday. Eatala Rajender, the Election Management Committee chairman, G Premender Reddy, the general secretary, and other leaders were among those who greeted Reddy.
Earlier, during a press conference in Delhi, Reddy stated that he has always fulfilled any responsibilities given to him by the party as a disciplined party worker. He mentioned that after being elected as an MP for the first time, he was appointed as Union Minister of State for Home for two years, followed by his role as Minister for Culture and Tourism.
Reddy emphasized that throughout his political career since the 1980s, he has never asked the party for any positions or ministerial roles. He expressed gratitude for being recognized for his work and stated that he will continue to work diligently for the party and its ideology to bring the BJP to power in Telangana.
Regarding the party’s plans for the state, Reddy explained that they are strategically working towards gaining power through systematic and planned activities. Upon arriving in Hyderabad, he mentioned that he will be meeting with important state leaders to discuss the upcoming ‘Vijaya Sankalpa Sabha’ in Warangal on July 8, which will be attended by Prime Minister Modi.
Reddy also announced that the PM will be laying the foundation for a railway manufacturing unit on 150 acres of land in Kazipet, which will produce 2,400 wagons. This facility is expected to provide employment opportunities and boost ancillary industries in the state. Additionally, Modi will virtually lay the foundation for a national highway project worth Rs 6,000 crore from the Hanumakonda Arts College grounds.
When asked about his appointment in relation to an understanding between BRS and BJP, Reddy responded by saying that the party’s stance towards the ruling party in the state will become clear in the coming days.
