Union Minister of Culture and Tourism G Kishan Reddy criticized Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for not attending meetings with the Centre. He said this behavior is bad for Telangana and that all other chief ministers attend these meetings. CM KCR did not attend meetings about policies, schemes, development, or issues related to the States. He also did not attend events like the inauguration of the Ramagundam fertilizer factory, the launch of the Vande Bharat Express train, or the foundation stone laying ceremony for Secunderabad Railway Station renovation works.
Reddy believes that this attitude of confrontation with the Centre is bad for the state and its people. He asked the people of Telangana to think about whether they want BRS government to continue. He also mentioned that officials from agriculture and civil supplies departments participate in meetings to prepare an action plan, but Telangana’s officials do not attend such meetings.
Reddy criticized BRS for not inviting the State Governor to the inauguration of the State Secretariat and for not following protocol. He also mentioned that BRS lectures others on protocols but does not follow them themselves.
