Kishan Reddy Responds to Revanth Reddy’s Comments on PM Modi
Union Minister Kishan Reddy has strongly reacted to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling them ignorant and inappropriate. He condemned the Chief Minister’s statements and criticized him for making such comments despite holding a responsible position.
Kishan Reddy challenged Revanth Reddy to a public debate on whether Prime Minister Modi belongs to the Backward Classes (BC) community. He accused the Congress party of showing frustration after losing power at the Centre for the third consecutive time and suffering a major defeat in the Delhi elections.
He further stated that Revanth Reddy’s impatience is causing him to make baseless accusations. According to Kishan Reddy, the Congress party is unable to accept that the people support a leader like Narendra Modi, who genuinely belongs to the BC community and works for their welfare.
The BJP leader asserted that neither Modi nor his party need validation from Revanth Reddy regarding their commitment to social harmony. Kishan Reddy reminded that it was the Modi government that gave constitutional status to the BC Commission. He also pointed out that Modi’s cabinet includes 27 OBCs, 12 SCs, 8 STs, and five minority members.
He questioned whether previous Congress governments had ever taken similar steps for social harmony. He also highlighted that since Modi took office, BC students have benefited from a 27% reservation in NEET exams, helping them secure more seats in higher education institutions. He challenged Congress to list their contributions for the upliftment of BCs.
Kishan Reddy mentioned that BC associations have criticized the Congress party for not fully implementing promises made during the elections. Instead of addressing these concerns, he accused Revanth Reddy of unfairly attacking Modi to divert attention from his own failures.
He reminded the Chief Minister of his promise to allocate Rs. 1 lakh crore over five years for BC welfare, which requires Rs. 20,000 crore annually. He questioned how much of this commitment had been fulfilled.
Finally, Kishan Reddy warned Revanth Reddy that if he continues unjustified criticism of Modi and the BJP, the people—especially the BC community—will respond strongly.
