Telangana BJP chief and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy responded to the Congress party’s claim of having a blood relationship with Telangana. He jokingly said that the Congress indeed has a bloody relationship with Telangana. During a press conference on the last day of electioneering, Reddy mentioned that under the Congress regime, 365 innocent students were killed in the first phase of the separatist movement, and 1,200 died in the second phase. He also highlighted how Telangana faced discrimination during the Congress rule, with the MIM collaborating to incite communal riots in the united Andhra Pradesh. Reddy urged people, especially BCs, SCs, STs, women, and the unemployed, to think before voting and consider how anti-democratic and corrupt practices have harmed Telangana.

Reddy accused the Congress and the BRS party of spreading conspiracies and launching venomous campaigns against the BJP. However, he claimed that the people of Telangana have rejected these attempts and are supporting the BJP. Reddy mentioned that the response to Prime Minister Modi’s public meetings and roadshows in Hyderabad was unprecedented. He expressed confidence in a silent revolt taking place in Telangana that would bring the BJP to power. Reddy also criticized Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi for claiming that the Majlis works for the BJP, reminding them of Congress’s history of joining hands with the Muslim League and supporting the growth of the Majlis.

Reddy alleged that “family” parties like Congress and BRS have allowed the Majlis to control appointments and transfers of officials, including influencing postings of the Commissioner of Police. He stated that while the BJP has been fighting against Majlis’s influence, the Congress and BRS have remained silent spectators. Reddy emphasized that Telangana is facing a financial crisis and struggling to pay salaries on time, making it difficult to carry out day-to-day activities. He urged people to support the BJP, promising to implement their manifesto, appoint a BC CM, deliver social justice to the Madigas, and provide employment and livelihood opportunities for the unemployed.

In an open letter to the people, Reddy urged them to hold onto the ideals, aspirations, and objectives of the long-standing separatist movement and the sacrifices made to achieve it.
