Union Minister and Telangana BJP chief G Kishan Reddy believes that there is a strong wave of support for PM Narendra Modi in the upcoming elections. He stated that the party is confident of winning double-digit Lok Sabha seats in the State. Reddy emphasized the widespread backing for Modi’s vision to develop India by 2047, across all sections of society.
During a ‘Meet the Press’ event organized by the Telangana Working Journalists’ Union, Reddy highlighted the progress made under Modi’s leadership over the past decade. He mentioned that Modi’s government has tackled corruption, nepotism, and other issues that plagued the country during the previous regime. Reddy also credited the government for improving infrastructure, addressing naxalism, and boosting the economy.
Reddy praised the Centre’s contributions to Telangana’s development, including modern infrastructure projects and job creation. He refuted claims made by CM A Revanth Reddy regarding BJP’s intentions to change the Constitution to end reservations, stating that Modi had already clarified this. Reddy criticized the CM’s alleged false propaganda about the Centre’s support for the State.
The BJP leader expressed the party’s goal to strengthen and compete in the next Assembly elections, rather than bringing down the current government. He encouraged youth and others who support the vision of Viksit Bharat to join the party. Reddy also dismissed baseless statements made by BRS chief KCR and party leader KTR about Hyderabad becoming a union territory.
