Union Minister of Coal and Mines, and Telangana BJP Chief, G Kishan Reddy, criticized Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s recent statements. He said these remarks showed a lack of understanding. Kishan Reddy explained that the Governor needs to seek legal advice before making decisions on important issues, which can sometimes cause delays.
Speaking to the media after inaugurating the Central Mines and Coal India Pavilions at the India International Trade Fair 2024 in New Delhi, Kishan Reddy said it was unfair to claim that the BJP and BRS are the same. He emphasized that taking legal opinions is part of the process, and rushing to conclusions doesn’t help.
Kishan Reddy also pointed out that the BJP has consistently called for impartial investigations into any corruption cases involving any party. He mentioned that the BJP had asked for a CBI inquiry into the Kaleshwaram project. “Has the Chief Minister agreed to it?” he questioned. According to him, based on the Chief Minister’s logic, the BRS and Congress should be seen as the same.
The BJP leader recalled that his party had approached the High Court over allegations of phone tapping and urged that the matter be handed over to the CBI. He stressed that only a proper investigation could reveal the truth and show who is responsible.
Kishan Reddy criticized both the Congress and BRS, saying that their actions are working against the development of Telangana. He accused the two parties of trying to distract the public from the failures of the BRS government and the administrative shortcomings of Congress.
He clarified that the BJP is not aligned with either the Congress or BRS. “We stand with the people of Telangana and the media,” he concluded.
