AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge believes that the BJP in Telangana is helping BRS win the upcoming elections. He thinks there is a secret understanding between the two parties. Kharge stated this during a public meeting in Quthbullapur as part of the election campaign. He said that both BRS and BJP are working together to ensure Congress loses the polls. However, he assured everyone that Congress will not feel threatened.

Kharge also mentioned that Sonia Gandhi gave Telangana with the intention of fulfilling the aspirations of the people, not for a single family to benefit. However, these aspirations were not fulfilled during the BRS government’s reign. He added that people are not ready to see K Chandrashekar Rao as the Chief Minister again and the phrase ‘KCR bye bye’ is becoming popular.

During the launch of the party’s manifesto, Kharge explained the reasons behind Telangana’s formation. He emphasized that Sonia Gandhi supported the idea to help the people of Telangana, but those who looted the state remained in power for too long. Kharge promised that if Congress comes to power, they will implement all six guarantees mentioned in the manifesto on the first day of the cabinet meeting.
