Starting from Monday, the Tamil Nadu Express train has officially added Khammam Railway Station as one of its stops. This is great news for travelers from Khammam to Tamil Nadu who previously didn’t have a convenient travel option. The train used to only stop at Vijayawada and Warangal, leaving passengers from Khammam without a good way to get to their destination.

This change came about after railway authorities issued directives to the relevant stations. It is a significant decision that was made possible due to the efforts of Rajya Sabha MP, Vaddiraju Ravichandra. He championed the cause in a special session of Parliament and pleaded with Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav to consider the plight of laborers working in the granite and other industries near Khammam.
