The Collector outlined specific plans for Velugumatla Urban Park. He also proposed creating a play area and boating facilities for children, along with constructing internal roads within the park.

For Puligonda, the Collector directed officials to expedite the completion of a campsite and organize eco-tourism trips to the area. He also emphasized the need for proper signage at tourist spots, including Velugumatla Urban Park and Puligonda, and recommended setting up boards to guide visitors and promote these destinations widely.

Collector Khan suggested branding Khammam district’s tourist areas and eco-tourism with a new logo and tagline. He also urged officials to complete the forest park and cottage development at the Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Jamalapuram, as directed by the Deputy Chief Minister.

Plans for a ropeway at Khammam Fort were also discussed. The Collector advised consulting the local community before construction and identifying a parking area approximately 500 meters from the ropeway.

With these initiatives, the Collector aims to transform Khammam into a prominent eco-tourism hub, inviting visitors while preserving the district’s natural and cultural heritage.
