The onset of Cyclone Michaung had a significant impact on Khammam district. It brought varying degrees of rainfall to the area. Aswaraopeta mandal experienced the most rainfall with 13.1 cm, while Dammapeta mandal had 7.35 cm of rainfall between 8:30 am and 5 pm.

Moderate rainfall was observed in several mandals, including Chandrugonda, Kothagudem, Chunchupalli, Bhadrachalam, Dummugudem, Manugur, Palvoncah, Sathupalli, Vemsoor, Madhira, Chintamani, Bonakal, Penuballi, Wyra, and Konijierla.

The cyclone also disrupted coal production in the coal belt areas of Kothagudem, Yellandu, and Sathupalli. This raised concerns about the economic impact in these regions.
