    Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently visited Hyderabad on December 14, 2020, to inaugurate several key projects and participate in a public meeting. The visit was aimed at boosting the development of the city and the state of Telangana. Here are the key events that took place during PM Modi’s visit to Hyderabad.

    Vande Bharat Express:

    The Prime Minister flagged off the Vande Bharat Express, which is India’s fastest train with a speed of 160 kmph. The train will run between Hyderabad and Varanasi, covering a distance of 1,400 km in 16 hours. The Vande Bharat Express is equipped with state-of-the-art amenities like WiFi, GPS-based passenger information systems, and CCTV cameras. It is also eco-friendly as it has bio-toilets and uses regenerative braking to save energy.

    PM Modi also laid the foundation stone for the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bibinagar, near Hyderabad. The AIIMS will be a 1,000-bed hospital with facilities for medical education, research, and training. It will have a dedicated center for Ayurveda and Yoga, and will provide advanced healthcare services to people in Telangana and neighboring states.

    Public Meet:

    The Prime Minister addressed a public meeting at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) office in Hyderabad. He spoke about the development initiatives taken by the central government and how they are benefiting people across the country.     During his visit, PM Modi also inaugurated several other projects, including a flyover at Durgam Cheruvu, a strategic road tunnel at Kuthiran in Kerala, and a renovated complex at the Salar Jung Museum in Hyderabad.

    The visit of PM Modi to Hyderabad was significant as it showcased the central government’s commitment to the development of Telangana and the country as a whole. The Vande Bharat Express and AIIMS are important infrastructure projects that will improve connectivity and healthcare services in the region.
