A group of Aasara pensioners from Mukhra (K) village in Hyderabad expressed their gratitude towards BRS President and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for providing financial security and bringing light into their lives. In return, they decided to contribute Rs 1000 each to help with the expenses of filing nominations by CM KCR and Minister KT Rama Rao.
Mukhra village in Ichoda Mandal of Bodh Constituency in the Adilabad district has gained national attention for winning national awards recently. Now, the village has caught attention again as one hundred Aasara pensioners, including elderly women, differently abled individuals, and widows, have come forward to contribute their pension amount. They gave Rs one lakh to the village Sarpanch G Meenakashi and requested her to hand it over to KCR.
With the help of BRS MP Santosh Kumar, Sarpanch Meenakshi went to Pragati Bhavan and explained the pensioners’ wish to contribute funds for the nomination filing of BRS Supremo. Touched by their affection, KCR accepted the contribution. Sarpanch Meenakshi handed over Rs 50,000 in the name of KCR and another Rs.50,000 to Minister KTR for their nomination expenses. On this occasion, both KCR and KTR thanked the pensioners.
KCR praised Mukhra (K) village as a role model for the country and emphasized that the people there are big-hearted. He appreciated the villagers for their previous contribution of Rs one lakh to the CM Relief Fund. KCR considered Mukhra village as a symbol of the growing rural economy in Telangana and a model for peaceful coexistence among different sections of society. He promised to visit the village and spend a whole day there.
KCR expressed hope that rural areas in Telangana will become prosperous and bring happiness to the country in the future. Present at the event were Rajya Sabha members J Santosh Kumar, Mukhra (K) MPTC Gadge Subhash, Deepak, and others.
