KCR Extends Sankranti Greetings to the People of Telangana
BRS chief and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) extended his heartfelt Sankranti greetings to the people of the State. He described Sankranti as a special festival, particularly for farmers. The celebrations, which include Bhogi, Sankranti, and Kanuma, are deeply rooted in the traditions of agriculture and village culture.
KCR highlighted the joy that the harvest season brings to farmers, as homes are adorned with freshly harvested crops. He noted that this festival symbolizes happiness and prosperity for the farming community.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the BRS government has consistently prioritized agriculture and allied sectors. Key initiatives such as providing 24-hour free quality electricity, ensuring irrigation through canals, and offering crop support were underscored as examples of the government’s commitment to farmer welfare.
He further mentioned the successful implementation of schemes like Rythu Bandhu, which provides financial assistance to farmers, and Rythu Bheema, an insurance scheme for farmers. These initiatives, he said, have strengthened the agricultural sector and improved the lives of farmers.
KCR also spoke about the government’s efforts to support caste-based professions that are integral to agriculture and the rural economy. He expressed pride in how these measures have brought prosperity to various sections of society, making this year’s Sankranti even more meaningful for everyone.
