Hyderabad: The Chief of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), has criticized the Congress government for neglecting development projects and farmers in Telangana. He expressed his dissatisfaction with the current administration and announced plans to hold a large public meeting by the end of February to address these issues.
KCR called for a direct public struggle against the Congress government’s failures, emphasizing that the BRS party was created to serve the people of Telangana. He assured citizens that his party would act as a protective shield for the state until all issues are resolved. Remarkably, party leaders from Medapalli village in Jarasangam mandal of Zaheerabad constituency demonstrated their support by walking 140 kilometers over five days to meet KCR at his farmhouse.
The BRS leader stated that his party had been patient for 14 months since the Congress took power. However, he claimed that the people of Telangana are now frustrated with the Congress’s “misrule.” According to KCR, the Congress government has made life difficult for citizens and is harming the state’s progress.
“I have been watching this government seriously and patiently,” KCR said. “But I have a habit of hitting hard, not just lightly. We will organize a massive public meeting at the end of February.”
KCR also accused the Congress government of stalling important projects, such as Sangameshwaram, Basaveswaram, and Kaleshwaram, which, he said, are now drying up. He declared that the BRS would continue to fight for the people of Telangana, stating, “Our victory is the victory of the people. Get ready for a direct fight with the government.”
Reflecting on the current state of Telangana, KCR remarked that the people had made a mistake by voting for leaders who made empty promises. He compared the situation to a game of “Kailash,” where the state has been metaphorically swallowed by a larger problem, and urged citizens to learn from this experience.
