The Chief Minister of Telangana and BRS (Bharat Rashtra Samithi) leader, K Chandrashekhar Rao, is planning to embark on a national tour of India in June 2021. The purpose of the tour is to strengthen the party base in different states ahead of the 2024 general elections and set a new political agenda. The BRS has already started opening party offices in Maharashtra, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, and Uttar Pradesh. KCR will visit these states and inaugurate the party offices. The BRS is also planning to contest local body elections in Maharashtra and may contest assembly elections in Karnataka.

During his India tour, KCR will intensify his political activity at the national level by organizing regular meetings with different state units. The BRS offices will be opened in Mumbai, Pune, Aurangabad, and Nanded in Maharashtra, followed by Bhubaneshwar and Cuttack in Odisha. The party general secretary has been asked to find suitable locations to establish party offices in Uttar Pradesh.

The BRS aims to promote itself as a pan-India political outfit before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The party leaders have announced that every prominent state with regular political activity in the country will have a BRS office. KCR will hold a series of meetings with leaders of different states after the end of Karnataka elections in mid-May. During the same time, he will undertake admitting of leaders into BRS at Pragati Bhavan regularly. State party unit committees of different states will also be announced by KCR before he embarks on his India tour.

KCR will also finalize the party agenda and objectives by May-end. For this, he has been holding a series of meetings with intellectuals and experts to prepare the party constitution. However, before his national tour, KCR will be busy with the inauguration of the New Secretariat, India’s tallest statue of Dr. BR Ambedkar, and Telangana Martyrs Memorial in April and May.
