    The Chief Minister of Telangana, K Chandrashekar Rao, announced on May Day that the state government is implementing several welfare schemes to improve the living standards of workers and farmers. He extended greetings to hardworking workers and professional workers who contribute to the development of society. KCR emphasized that wealth is created through the hard work and sacrifice of people.

    The state government pays Rs 6 lakh to the family of a worker who dies in an accident, and Rs 5 lakh to those who become disabled due to an accident. Maternity benefits of Rs 30,000 are paid to women for two deliveries. The government has also provided financial assistance to families of deceased workers and spent Rs 98 crore on funerals of deceased workers.

    During the Covid-19 pandemic, the state government spent Rs 1,005 crore on various programmes. The Chief Minister assured that the government will continue its efforts to bring a qualitative change in the lives of workers across the country with labour welfare programmes.
