BRS chief K. Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) has expressed confidence that his party will contest the next Telangana Assembly elections alone and return to power.

Speaking at a party workers’ meeting at his Erravalli farmhouse, KCR criticized both former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and current Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He blamed Indira Gandhi for merging Telangana with Andhra and accused Modi of targeting him during his tenure as Chief Minister.

KCR claimed that Telangana is currently facing a severe crisis due to the failure of the Congress government. He said that during the 10 years of BRS rule, the state had flourished. He also alleged that Modi tried to pressure him and caused him a lot of trouble when he was in power.

Additionally, KCR took a dig at Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. He argued that Naidu won the recent AP elections only because of his alliance with multiple political parties. He stated that without this alliance, Naidu would not have emerged victorious.

KCR urged BRS leaders and workers to work hard to bring the party back to power. He accused the Congress of coming to power in Telangana by making false promises and failing to fulfill even a single one. Lastly, he reiterated that Telangana was forcefully merged with Andhra in the past and insisted that his party would fight to regain strength in the state.
