The police department in Hyderabad has recently installed CCTV cameras in KBR Park and Jubilee Hills. This project, which cost Rs 1.40 crores, was inaugurated by city police commissioner CV Anand.
A total of 240 CCTV cameras will be installed as part of this plan. Around 150 cameras have already been installed in KBR Park, while the remaining cameras were placed at road numbers 36 and 45 and the Jubilee check post.
According to Anand, the installation of these cameras is a crucial step towards ensuring the safety of the people. He emphasized that there have been several unfortunate incidents near and around KBR Park in the past, and the presence of CCTV cameras will help prevent such incidents in the future.
Anand also called upon the local public representatives and civil society to support the police in their efforts to enhance security in the city.
