MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha praised the Singareni coal miners and their families during the Telangana State Decade celebrations. She talked about the progress made by Singareni workers since the formation of Telangana state, such as salary increases and the creation of dependent jobs. Despite facing opposition, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has supported the workers and provided around 15,000 employment opportunities through compassionate hiring.
Kavitha also highlighted the Chief Minister’s commitment to workers’ well-being, including providing dependent jobs for women and raising the compensation for those who decline compassionate jobs. She was pleased with the decision to increase the retirement age to 61 years.
To ensure the well-being of Singareni workers, various measures have been implemented, like free electricity and air-conditioning in Singareni quarters, interest-free home loans, child care leave for women workers, employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities, and free medical facilities for parents in Singareni area hospitals.
MLC Kavitha emphasized that CM KCR’s dedication and care have not only safeguarded the Singareni organization but also fostered its growth and expansion.
