Kavitha Criticizes Government Over Arrests of BRS Leaders
BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha has raised concerns that leaders who speak out against the government’s failures are being unfairly targeted. She also claimed that BRS activists are being arrested without any valid reason.
On Saturday, Kavitha visited party leader Lakkineni Surender, who is currently in remand at Khammam sub-jail. She criticized the Revanth Reddy-led government, alleging that it is failing to govern the state properly.
Speaking to the media, she accused the government of misusing the SC/ST Atrocities Act. She further stated that despite the Congress government’s efforts to suppress them through legal cases, they cannot stop KCR and his supporters.
Kavitha claimed that various sections of society, including farmers, students, and women, are unhappy with the government due to its failures and alleged corruption. She also stated that in the past 14 months, the state has not received any significant support from the government.
She alleged that Surender was jailed under false charges simply for highlighting government shortcomings in gram sabhas. She criticized the government, saying that if it cannot properly govern and introduce welfare schemes, it cannot hide its failures by filing cases against critics.
Kavitha declared that they would continue to expose the government’s mistakes and not be intimidated by illegal actions. She vowed to keep pressuring the Congress party until it fulfills all its promises.
MP Rajya Sabha Vaddiraju Ravichandra, BRS District President Tata Madhusudan, State BC leader RJC Krishna, Nagaraju, and other leaders also took part in the visit.
