Kalvakuntla Kavitha, a Member of the Legislative Council (MLC), expressed her thoughts on family politics and its association with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). She shared her views on Twitter in response to a comment made by Tamil Nadu BJP chief Annamalai during a program hosted by a private news channel.

Kavitha proudly acknowledged her identity as the daughter of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and stated that she values her political heritage. She posted a video of her speech at a summit organized by a television channel to support her statement.

She raised a thought-provoking question, asking if family politics is only accepted by the BJP when it aligns with their own interests. Kavitha found it ironic that the BJP seems to overlook succession politics within many parties as long as they are connected to the BJP.
