    The BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar spoke to athletes in Karimnagar on Monday. He explained that taking part in physical and mental sports from a young age can help keep children healthy. Kamalakar opened the district-level CM Cup-2023 games at the Ambedkar Stadium. He said that if students are physically strong, they can be mentally strong and excel in studies. The government has given priority to sports and launched the CM Cup-2023 games to find sports talent.

    Karimnagar is important in Telangana because Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao started the Telangana Movement there. Students from Telangana should do well in all fields and bring a good name to Telangana, Kamalakar said. The District Collector R.V. Karnan said that sports competitions would be organized to find talented sportspeople. The CM Cup sports competitions were held in 15 mandals and one municipal corporation in the district.

    4398 sportspersons took part in Khokho, Kabaddi, Volleyball, Football, and Athletics, and 93 people participated in district-level athletics and Khokho, Kabaddi, Volleyball, Football. 1036 people have been selected for athletics, and about 536 people will be chosen from 11 more events, Karnan said. The Mayor Y. Sanil Rao said that the CM Cup is an opportunity for anyone who shows their talent in sports. The municipal administration will provide accommodation and mid-day meals for those who come to participate in the sports.

    The Additional Collector Garima Agarwal, Municipal Commissioner Seva Islawat, Trainee IPS Mahender Babasaheb, Sports Development Officer K Rajaveer, and other public representatives and officials participated in the program.
