Karimnagar Dalit Bandhu scheme update: Issues have been reported with the implementation of the Dalit Bandhu scheme in Karimnagar. Many beneficiaries are facing difficulties as their accounts have been suspended. They have been unable to make transactions for a month now and are going back and forth between banks and the SC Corporation office. The beneficiaries claim that their accounts were frozen due to insufficient funds. Officials say that the accounts were temporarily put on hold while some beneficiaries tried to withdraw the interest by linking additional accounts to their existing Dalit Bandhu accounts.

The beneficiaries who received substantial assets such as transportation vehicles, supermarkets, tractors, and excavators were given Rs 10 lakh. In the first phase, Rs 5 lakh was given to those who opted for smaller units. Later, Rs 5 lakh was deposited into their accounts as the second phase payment.

However, many beneficiaries who had not started their operations yet were unable to withdraw the funds from their bank accounts without official authorization. Some accounts also contained the second installment. As a result, the District Collector instructed banks to place a hold on these accounts on December 13.

The Executive Director of SC Corporation, Nagarjuna, assured the recipients that the full amount is still in their bank accounts and asked them not to worry. He explained that some beneficiaries tried to withdraw the interest by linking additional accounts to their Dalit Bandhu accounts through a mobile application, which led to the temporary freeze of their accounts.

However, there are still some beneficiaries who have not received the second installment. Around 1,500 to 2,000 beneficiaries are currently seeking approval from district officials to access their funds.
