    Minister G Kamalakar recently honored the winners of the Best Teacher Award 2023-24 in Karimnagar. During the Teacher’s Day celebrations, Minister Kamalakar expressed the importance of teachers in society. He highlighted that teachers play a crucial role in dispelling ignorance and spreading knowledge. He also emphasized the need to celebrate Teachers’ Day as a tribute to Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was both a teacher and a politician.

    The event was attended by Choppadandi and Manakondur MLAs, as well as the district Collector. Minister Kamalakar mentioned that in countries like America and China, farmers and teachers are highly respected. He believed that this tradition should continue in India. He also praised Chief Minister KCR for his efforts in improving government schools through initiatives like the Mana Ooru Mana Badi program and digital education.

    Minister Kamalakar shared that the number of schools in the region has significantly increased, providing better access to education for the local population. He also mentioned that the government is offering financial support of Rs 20 lakh to eligible students who wish to pursue higher education abroad.

    The District Collector, Dr B. Gopi, emphasized the importance of adapting to changes in society and educating students about the real world. He stressed the need for awareness about digital education and its advantages and disadvantages.

    The felicitation ceremony honored 33 district-level teachers and 16 private teachers who received the Best Teacher Award 2023-24. They were recognized with garlands, shawls, and mementos.

    Overall, Minister Kamalakar highlighted Telangana’s progress in education, medicine, and tourism. The event served as a reminder of the crucial role teachers play in shaping society and the need for continued support and recognition for their efforts.
