    Excise Officials Crack Down on Illegal Liquor in Nagar Kurnool

    Kalvakurthi Excise officials launched a major operation against illegal arrack production and supply centers in several villages. Raids were carried out in JP Nagar Tanda, Bhagat Singh Tanda, and Ram Nagar Tanda, all under the jurisdiction of Kalwakurthy Police Station. These actions were supported by the excise police team, according to CI Venkata Reddy.

    During the raids, officials seized 780 kilograms of black jaggery, a key ingredient used in the production of illicit liquor. The jaggery was stored in 26 large bags on the outskirts of JP Nagar Tanda. Additionally, 200 liters of jaggery liquor and 10 liters of arrack were destroyed on-site. Two cases were registered as part of this crackdown.

    Kalwakurthy Excise SI Vivek led the operation with the assistance of team members Narya Mahesh, Bhimamma, and Parashuram. CI Venkata Reddy issued a strong warning, stating that strict action would be taken against anyone involved in the illegal production, supply, or sale of arrack and jaggery liquor. He emphasized the importance of these measures, particularly with the Sankranti festival approaching.

    Authorities are committed to curbing illicit liquor activities to maintain law and order in the region during the festive season.
