Hyderabad: The Kalamandir Foundation has taken an important step in supporting the community by investing in a product designed by a local high school student, Vedasri Chalavadi. This product is a braille keyboard cover that will benefit visually impaired students in Hyderabad.
Vedasri came up with the idea after visiting a school for the visually impaired. She noticed that there was a need for tools that could help visually impaired individuals use computers and access the internet more easily. This led her to develop flexible and affordable braille keyboard covers.
These keyboard covers can be used on different systems and are expected to make a big difference for visually impaired users. Her innovative solution has drawn attention, and it shows great potential in the market.
To support this initiative, the Kalamandir Foundation has invested Rs 3 lakh to help produce these braille keyboard covers. The foundation plans to distribute them to several schools for the visually impaired in Hyderabad, focusing on making technology more accessible for everyone.
