    The Vice-Chancellor of Kakatiya University, Prof. Thatikonda Ramesh, assured the non-teaching staff that the administration will address their issues. He praised the non-teaching staff for their support in obtaining the NAAC A+ Grade for the university. The NAAC Peer Team also recognized their contribution. The Vice-Chancellor emphasized the responsibility of every employee to protect the university’s reputation.

    Prof. Ramesh stated that promotions for the non-teaching staff will be based on seniority and roster. He acknowledged that there are concerns regarding PRC and salary increments for the non-teaching staff. He urged them to reconsider their decision to go on indefinite strike from September 25.

    Regarding Ph.D. admissions, the Vice-Chancellor asserted that transparency was maintained, with 75% of the seats being allocated to SC, ST, and BC students. He criticized certain individuals for politicizing the issue and warned against damaging university property.

    Prof. Ramesh also expressed dissatisfaction with some leaders of the Association of Kakatiya University Teachers (AKUT) and other employee associations for causing unrest in the university. He called upon the entire staff to protect the university’s interests. The meeting was presided over by KU Registrar Prof. T Srinivas Rao.
