A group of lorry owners and drivers, along with support from various political parties, held a protest at NTR Chowk in Kagaznagar on Friday. The demonstration caused significant traffic problems in the area.

The protest was organized by the Lorry Welfare Association to pressure the local paper mill management to listen to their demands.

In addition to the protest, a successful bandh (strike) was held in the industrial area, which led to the closure of many shops.

The police stepped in to control the situation and prevent further tensions, but the atmosphere remained tense. Despite the intervention, Lorry Association President Venna Kishore Babu stated that the protest would continue until their concerns are addressed.
