Former major irrigation minister Kadiyam Srihari has blamed the previous Congress government for the problems with water sharing in Telangana. He pointed out that even after the formation of Telangana, the 299 TMC (water allocation from the Krishna River) continued to be an issue. Srihari stated that this allocation was originally decided by the Bachawat Tribunal before Telangana was formed. He criticized the earlier Congress government under YSR for not facing any opposition to their decisions. Srihari explained that the 299 TMC out of 811 TMC was allotted based on project-wise utilization for both states.
During the discussion on KRMB resolution, Station Ghanpur MLA emphasized the need for a quick judgement on the Brajesh Kumar tribunal. They also called for the central government to speed up the process.
