There was an uproar in the Assembly when the Opposition questioned the government about the implementation of six guarantees and other schemes. Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and former minister Kadiyam Srihari exchanged heated remarks, blaming each other for losing their cool and becoming frustrated.
During the discussion on vote-on-account, Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka was responding to queries from the Opposition when Srihari questioned who was benefiting from the government’s implementation of promised schemes. He also questioned why the government was taking credit for job notifications that were issued during the previous administration’s rule.
Intervening in the discussion, Venkat Reddy believed that the Opposition members were unable to accept their defeat in the elections and were frustrated as a result. He emphasized that his party was committed to implementing all the schemes, unlike the former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who failed to fulfill promises such as appointing a Dalit CM.
Venkat Reddy brought up an incident where a home guard died after being hit by MLA Lasya Nandita’s car in Nalgonda district. He criticized BRS leaders for not reaching out to console the victim’s family, accusing them of causing harm for fun and leaving behind two children without a father.
In response, Srihari objected to Venkat Reddy’s use of words to refer to the Opposition member. He urged CM A Revanth Reddy to be cautious with people like Venkat Reddy rather than with the Opposition. Srihari also commented on Revanth Reddy’s speaking manner, stating that it revealed who was truly frustrated. He respected Revanth Reddy for his position as CM but advised him to surround himself with a variety of people.
