State Excise and Prohibition minister Jupally Krishna Rao has asked BRS working president KT Rama Rao to apologize for making false accusations against him regarding the murder of BRS leader Sridhar Reddy in old Mahabubnagar district. If an apology is not given, the minister is prepared to file a defamation case.

Krishna Rao, along with Congress Lok Sabha candidate Mallu Ravi, stated that the BRS leader’s allegations stem from frustration after the Congress came into power in the state. The killing of Sridhar Reddy was deemed unfortunate but not politically motivated, according to the minister. The murder was likely due to disputes over land, finances, and other matters.

The minister clarified that he has never supported violent actions in politics and has always stayed away from such activities throughout his political career. He criticized KT Rama Rao for connecting the death of a person to politics and questioned his moral standing. Jupally also highlighted past issues faced by Dalit families during the BRS government’s time in Sircilla.

In conclusion, Jupally emphasized that the people of the former Mahabubnagar district are familiar with his political life and do not believe the accusations made by KT Rama Rao.
