Government Focuses on Village Development in Wanaparthy
The Telangana State government is working to improve basic facilities in villages and implement six key welfare programs, said Excise, Tourism, and Culture Minister Jupally Krishna Rao.
On Sunday, Minister Rao, along with local legislator Thudi Megha Reddy, inaugurated and laid foundation stones for several development projects in Peddamandadi mandal. These projects, including BT roads, CC roads, and drainage systems, are being developed with a total budget of ₹18.71 crore. He emphasized the government’s commitment to improving rural living conditions and transportation facilities.
At Veeraiyapalli village, MLA Megha Reddy assured residents that all pending development works would be completed by next December. He also promised that Indiramma houses and ration cards would be provided to all homeless families. Minister Rao laid the foundation stone for a BT road from Amma Palli to Peddamandadi via a solar plant, costing ₹4.5 crore. Additionally, CC road works worth ₹10 lakh were launched in the village.
In Madigatla Gram Panchayat, both leaders laid the foundation stone for a CC road to be built at a cost of ₹15 lakh. Meanwhile, in Mojarla village, a common center constructed for ₹5 lakh was inaugurated.
In Alwala Gram Panchayat, MLA Megha Reddy laid the foundation stone for a BT road worth ₹4.75 crore and drainage works costing ₹10 lakh. He also initiated the construction of a CC road and drainage system in Chinna Mandadi Gram Panchayat, costing ₹10 lakh and ₹5 lakh, respectively.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held for CC roads and drainage works in Pamireddy Palli, Jangamayapalli, and Balijapalli villages, with a budget of ₹20 lakh. The MLAs also laid the foundation stone for BT road works from Jangamayapalli to Mammayapalli, costing ₹1.5 crore. Additionally, another BT road from Ankayapalli Thanda to Dodaguntapalli will be developed at a cost of ₹1.2 crore.
The foundation stone for CC roads in Peddamandadi was also laid, marking another step toward improving infrastructure in the region.
