    The Junior Doctors have called off their planned strike after a successful meeting with Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha in Hyderabad. The meeting addressed various issues, including stipends, working hours, and the construction of a new building for Osmania Hospital.

    During the discussion, the Health Minister assured the Junior Doctors that a green channel would be set up to regularize stipends. Stipends would be credited by the 15th of every month. Additionally, the Department of Medical Education (DME) will release a new software within 20 days to facilitate smooth processing of stipends.

    The Minister also discussed the stipends for PGs and interns in private colleges, as well as FMG interns. He mentioned that they would provide an update after consulting with the relevant authorities. As for DNB students, their 8-month stipend will be deposited as soon as possible.

    Regarding the construction of a new building for Osmania general hospital, the Health Minister expressed a positive attitude and promised that work would commence soon. The government is committed to the project. In terms of hostels, the Minister took note of the hospitals, colleges, and available areas for construction. New hostels will be built where there is space, and in areas with limited space, hostels will be provided nearby.

    To address the issue of working hours for PGs and interns, a committee will be formed to establish guidelines and prevent overburdening.

    Overall, the meeting between the Junior Doctors and the Health Minister was successful in resolving several important issues.
