The Chief Minister of Hyderabad, K Chandrasekhar Rao, is going to give a speech on June 2 from the new Secretariat building. This marks the beginning of the decennial celebrations. His speech is expected to be focused on the upcoming Assembly elections, which are only four months away. The speech is also expected to have some surprises and some special announcements that will benefit certain sections of society. This includes the families of martyrs.
KCR is going to highlight the achievements of the new state in the last nine years. He will focus on sectors like Energy, Agriculture, and Irrigation, which have been strengthened. He will also talk about welfare schemes like Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bima.
In his speech, KCR will also announce new schemes, such as Rs 1 lakh financial assistance to artisans in BC communities and Rs 3 lakh incentives to the poor who built houses in their own plots. He has instructed the Finance department to ensure adequate funds for these schemes in the next six months.
KCR’s priority is towards direct cash benefit transfer schemes like Dalit Bandhu, Rythu Bandhu, Rs 1 lakh assistance to the most backward communities, Aasara pensions, and Kalyana Lakshmi programmes.
During the 21-day State Formation Day celebrations, KCR may announce some new development programmes.
