    Governor Jishnu Dev Varma Lauds ICAI Hyderabad Chapter During Diamond Jubilee Celebrations

    Hyderabad: State Governor Jishnu Dev Varma commended the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) for its contributions during the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of its Hyderabad Chapter. Speaking as the chief guest, the Governor described the event as a testament to the Chapter’s six-decade-long commitment to professional excellence, societal development, and the advancement of cost and management accounting in the nation.

    “As we celebrate 60 glorious years of this Chapter, we also honor the significant impact it has had on India’s professional landscape,” the Governor remarked. He emphasized the critical role of Cost and Management Accountants (CMAs) in driving the country’s economic growth and progress.

    CMAs play a pivotal role in maintaining financial discipline and ensuring businesses operate efficiently and sustainably. With India striving to achieve its ambitious goal of becoming a $5 trillion economy, CMAs are vital in areas such as cost optimization, resource management, and financial integrity.

    The Governor also highlighted Vision India@2047, which focuses on inclusive development and national progress through collective efforts, encapsulated in the principles of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas (Together with All, Development for All, Trust of All, Efforts of All). He outlined key priorities for the future, including green growth, youth empowerment, infrastructure development, and strengthening the financial sector.

    Governor Jishnu Dev Varma praised ICAI’s proactive initiatives, such as offering fee exemptions for students from Northeastern States, as part of its commitment to inclusivity and empowerment. By nurturing talent from underrepresented regions, the institute is contributing to a fairer and brighter future for all.

    “The institute’s efforts align with the ethos of leaving no one behind on the path to progress,” he said. “CMAs’ expertise in financial management and strategic planning is not just a cornerstone of corporate success but also a critical factor in India’s economic resilience and global competitiveness.”

    The Governor also stressed the importance of integrating CMAs’ strategic skill sets into Vision India@2047. He stated that CMAs are equipped to help organizations make data-driven decisions, allocate resources effectively, and implement impactful policies. Their role is essential in optimizing financial and economic outcomes while supporting goals like youth empowerment, green growth, and infrastructure development.

    CMA Dr. Lavanya Kanduri, Chairperson of the ICAI Hyderabad Chapter, shared her thoughts on this year’s theme, “Inspiration Incubator – Step into Action.” She said, “This theme resonates deeply with our Chapter’s vision. Over the years, we have not only inspired ideas but also transformed them into meaningful actions that have left a lasting impact on our community.”

    As the Hyderabad Chapter marks its Diamond Jubilee, the event celebrated the institute’s contributions to shaping the nation’s financial future while empowering professionals to take on greater challenges in a rapidly evolving economy.
