District Collector Jitesh Patil visited IDOC premises to check the performance of agriculture drones for flood rescue in Badradrikothagudem district. The drones can help save lives during Godavari floods.
The collector observed a demonstration of the drones, which were brought from Khammam. The drones can fly up to 90 meters high and 250 meters away, allowing ropes to be sent for rescuing people trapped in floods. The district collector emphasized the importance of using these drones to prevent loss of life and property during the rainy season.
The drones will also be used to deliver fresh water and food to those affected by floods. Proper training will be given to staff on how to operate the drones effectively. The main goal is to ensure the safety of residents during flood emergencies.
Officials were reminded to take all necessary precautions during floods and to have contingency plans in place. District Agriculture Officer Baburao, Irrigation EE Ramprasad, Fisheries AD Veeranna, AO Ganya, fire personnel, yard swimmers, and others were present at the inspection.
