Jehane Thomas, a popular TikTok star with over 67,000 followers, passed away at the age of 30 due to complications from optic neuritis. This condition causes swelling of the eye’s optic nerve and was diagnosed after Thomas suffered from migraines for over two years. In a post on Instagram on March 5, she shared her diagnosis and expressed gratitude for her parents who helped care for her two sons. She also mentioned that she was scheduled for surgery due to the pressure in her head causing extreme pain and difficulty moving.
After being discharged from the hospital following surgery and a weeklong stay, Thomas was forced to return when her migraines flared up again. Sadly, she passed away on March 17, leaving behind her two young sons. A GoFundMe was created by her friend Alyx Reast to raise money for the funeral and to support Thomas’s children. The page has raised over £12,000 of its £15,000 goal.
Thomas’s passing was unexpected and has left many of her fans and loved ones heartbroken. Her story serves as a reminder of the importance of seeking medical attention for persistent health issues and the impact that a strong support system can have during difficult times.
