Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) in Hyderabad will start offering a B.Tech Biotechnology course on its campus from the new academic year. The course has been in high demand, so the university has decided to introduce it. Admissions will be through the TS EAMCET, and the course will have 60 seats with a fee of Rs 1 lakh per annum.
Several autonomous colleges under the university had offered this course before, but it will now be introduced on the university campus. The goal is to roll out even more new courses in the upcoming academic year, pending approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). If approved, new colleges will be permitted in the autonomous colleges.
The affiliation process for JNTU-H is ongoing and is being done transparently. It should be completed by May 15, and the list of affiliated colleges will be available by May 25.
