Former Union minister and Telangana BJP election in-charge, Prakash Javadekar, announced that action against corruption in the Kaleswaram Lift Irrigation Project (KLIP) has already begun. Speaking to the media, Javadekar criticized BRS chief and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for betraying the people of Telangana who were promised water, funds, and jobs.

Javadekar alleged that there was widespread corruption in KLIP, despite the project receiving quick approval from the Centre to provide water to 18 lakh acres of land in the State. He also highlighted the State’s massive debt of Rs 5 lakh crore and the fact that job appointments were mostly given to KCR’s family members.

“We will seek justice for the losses caused by the KCR government,” Javadekar assured. He also criticized the government for harassing opposition parties by filing illegal cases. Javadekar stated that BJP leaders are arrested whenever KCR goes on a visit, and he promised to take action against the anarchic rule of the government.

Furthermore, Javadekar mentioned that several leaders from other parties are planning to join the saffron party, and their decision will be announced on August 27.
